Seasonal Cocktails: Autumn ’08

The American Honeymoon
Just a spoon full of sugar makes the medicine whiskey go down...
100% straight corn whiskey from Missouri is poured right out of the jug and mixed with a delicious bourbon-based honey liqueur from Kentucky. A squeeze of fresh lemon juice, a teaspoon of maple syrup, and a dash of bitters make this cocktail a match made in heaven.
Gingerly
The road to happiness is bittersweet. At least it should be.
This Baytenders’ Gin & Tonic is kicked up a notch by adding our house-made ginger & meyer lemon syrup and topped with fever tree premium tonic water.

Signature Cocktails:
La Chispa
Perfect for a hot afternoon, La Chispa or, ‘The Sparkle’ combines Pisco Bauza (de Chile), organic strawberry puree, our house-made sweet & sour, and sparkling apple cider. Pour over ice, stir, and garnish with lime. De-licious.

Ginger Makrut
Freshly grated ginger, or ‘khing’ in Thai, spices up this easy-to-sip cocktail. We add a splash of Cointreau, lime juice, and our favorite - locally distilled Hangar One Kaffir Lime Vodka. Although we prefer to use the more politically correct term ‘Makrut’ for this rugged citrus, native to Southeast Asia. Shaken and served over ice. Our most popular drink!

Citrus Derby
Formerly known to some as ‘The Big Slick’, this cocktail is pure class...We use Woodford Reserve Kentucky Bourbon, Cointreau, fresh OJ, and our house-made sweet & sour. Shaken and served over ice with cherry, lime, and float of Grand Marnier. Kick off the loafers for this one.

Sao Paulo Sunset
Batidas (Portuguese for shake) are popular iced drinks in Brasil made with Cachaca, fruit juice, and sugar. Our variation calls for Cachaca Ypioca, Cointreau, organic pineapple (Abacaxi) puree, and lime juice. Vigorously shaken w/crushed ice and served up. Add a splash of grenadine and watch the sun go down.
